Our premier educational events are held both virtually and in person throughout the Nashville area and offer the opportunity to receive recertification credits, network and learn from subject matter expert speakers and HR professionals. Membership includes complimentary monthly webinars ($288 value) and discounted monthly chapter meetings ($120 value).
Conferences
We offer several single day and multi-day conferences each year. Invest in learning, collaborating, and networking with peers and subject matter experts on specific areas of HR such as Talent Management, Benefits and Employment Law. Members save 20% off registration fees. ($100 average savings per conference)
Mentoring Program
Connecting MT|SHRM Students Members and Professional Members early in their careers with a dedicated MT|SHRM Professional Member for 1-1 mentoring to prepare and strengthening them to become successful HR leaders. Members are encouraged to participate as a mentee or a mentor.

Network with the 1000+ HR professional members of MT|SHRM using the members only online directory.
Certification
MT|SHRM offers a facilitator-led course twice a year to prepare members for the HR Certification Institute’s PHR and SPHR exams, as well as the SHRM Certification’s SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP exams. Course price includes SHRM Learning System (digital and print) and costs less than buying the SHRM learning system from SHRM.
Leadership Development Program
A 10-week program for members that helps HR professionals understand how HR adds value to their organization. Focuses on leadership skills needed to be an effective executive or management team member.
Scholarships
Offering members, the opportunity to receive financial support towards professional development to advance their career. Funding available for the Leadership Development Program, Certification Course and Exam, and others.
Career Transition Group
This networking group is a powerful member exclusive resource that meets bi-weekly to discuss job search strategies, share job leads and learns from top talent management and career experts in the area.
Job Board & Career Center
Access to the Career Center where members can post resumes, search local HR jobs, and browse career resources to help their career search. Members can also post open HR positions at a discounted rate.
Volunteer Opportunities
With over 20 committees and 12 board positions available to serve on, members can “build their resume” while developing leadership skills and contribute to the growth of the chapter.
Special Interest Groups
Networking through events like socials, golf scrambles, new member receptions, and access to SIGs like the Nashville Area Total Rewards Association and others. These events and groups offer valuable opportunities to connect with other professionals in the HR field.
