Membership Types:

  1. Professional – for those practicing in any human resources or a related discipline
  2. Affiliate – for non-HR professional and those in any other business or profession such as vendors, suppliers and providers who have an interest in participating with those practicing in human resources
  3. Small Business Owner – for those who do not have a full-time human resources professional on staff, but still have HR responsibilities and need expert information. Membership includes both local chapter and national SHRM. 
  4. Student – for those who are members of an affiliate Student SHRM Chapter at their educational institution.

2017 Annual Member Dues

  • Professional or Affiliate Membership - $129. Current members of the National SHRM organization who choose to designate MT|SHRM (chapter 0083) as their primary chapter, dues are only $119 annually. Membership to SHRM National is separate from membership in the Local chapter, and is not included in the Local chapter dues.
  • Small Business Owner’s Membership - $294. For owners of business without a full-time HR professional on staff.  Includes membership in both local and national SHRM..
  • Student Membership - $20. Student members must meet one of the two following requirements in order to qualify for a Student membership with MT|SHRM. 1) Be a current Student Member of national SHRM, or 2) Be a Student Member of one our affiliate student chapters. Click here for a list of MT|SHRM Student Chapters in Middle Tennessee.
  • Student members who convert their Student Membership to a Professional Membership within 6 months of graduation are eligible to receive a discounted rate of $64 for their first year's membership.

Corporate Discount Program:

For organizations with 5 or more Professional or Affiliate members, the following discounts apply:

Naturally, some terms and conditions apply: (the unavoidable fine print)

  • Membership is granted to, and stays with, the individual. There is no refund or transfer of membership if a member leaves the employer’s organization. However, a replacement can be added for the balance of the organization’s membership year.
  • For discounts to apply, membership dues must be paid annually by the organization in a single payment.
