You Have the Research and Data - Now What?

While your organization may be deeply entrenched in the way that “its always been done”, you may hold the key to a new direction. How do you be the bridge between academic research and practice? What are some current workplace trends (particularly in Talent Development) and how do they line up with the research? What are some of the special considerations that need to be taken by ALL practitioners when making the connection to research? Join us for this session, where we will dive into the challenges of the being the bridge between research and execution.

Biography: Jessica began her career working for Bridgestone, where she was a Training Specialist for their North American Manufacturing Education Center. Her main areas of focus were facilitating and coaching on the job training processes, as well as developing talent pipelines, conducting focus groups, and cross-industry benchmarking.
Jessica went on to found J. Prater Consulting, which focuses on helping small to mid-sized business build fantastic teams. Jessica has lead projects in the past that have focused on talent develpment assessments, organizational development/change management initiatives, employee surveys, guided goal setting/action planning, and many more. Jessica is a contracted trainer for The Center for Leadership Studies in which she facilitates, trains, and delivers the contect and programs of The Center for Leadership Studies to clients all over North America.
Jessica has been an adjuct professor at Middle Tennessee State University for over 2 years where she teaches undergraduate students in social psychology.
