The Happiness Factor: An Exploration of How Engaged Employees are the Keys to Success

Hiring great employees can be a significant challenge for businesses. Even more difficult is keeping those employees around. In the current landscape of talent wars and job-hopping, retention can seem like a nearly impossible task, but it's one that must be prioritized: Employee turnover can cost organizations tens of thousands of dollars per year. It's time to incorporate The Happiness Factor.

In 2019, it's predicted that companies will increase their employee engagement/retention budget by 45%. Currently, turn-over costs are estimated to be 100%-300% of the base salary of the replaced employee. 

The 3 objectives learned in this presentation will be:

  • Identifying what the ideal employee experience is in today's workplace.
  • How organizations can begin to drive more positive and human employee experiences.
  • Demonstrating the measurable impact, a positive employee experience has on major outcomes.

The role of people in organizations is at the forefront of business today, therefore having the tools, strategies and skills needed to create a positive employee experience is imperative.

Biography: Beth has over 20 years of experience as an executive coach and consultant in Nashville, TN.  Her passion is to help those people and organizations who are committed to making an investment in themselves and/or their teams.

Beth is a public speaker, coach, mentor, facilitator and executive consultant.  Her skills include providing individual leadership coaching and team coaching in areas such as new leader transitions, high-potential and/or developmental coaching and team effectiveness. She helps to reduce transition risks through a series of highly-tailored individualized action plans.  Further guidance is provided in exploring options by using strategic and targeted inquiries, and taking career and personality “inventories” while working to identify specific steps to realize the individual’s goals and larger ambitions.  She has in-depth and demonstrated knowledge of and expertise in the analysis of personality assessments and behavioral assessments.

Beth has worked and excelled in such diverse roles as: identifying managerial talent with an organization to implement and conduct a thorough assessment process; maintaining annual budgets for specific departments, administrative staff; developing transition plans for executives and direct reports managing change.
