Why Putting HR at the Center of Your Business is Good for Business!
Presented by
Jennifer Moehlmann, Chief People Officer at Ingram Barge Company

Strategic HR has been a focus for most of this decade.  So what does it really mean and how do we know when we get there?  For many this means HR is out in front of the business, facilitating new strategic initiatives, and helping the business see around the next corner. In order for HR to play a critical strategic role, HR professionals have to understand how the business works.

What are the key drivers of profitability and productivity, and where is the business likely to go in the future? Without that knowledge and level of involvement in the running of the business it’s difficult to get the full value from the HR function. This session will explore some tips for ensuring your HR team stays at the center of your business.

Registration: MTSU Faculty or Student: $5; Member Registration: $20 by end of business Wednesday February 13, $25 afterwards.

This program has been awarded 1.5 hours of General HR recertification credit. "MT|SHRM is recognized by SHRM to offer Professional Development Credits (PDC's) for the SHRM-CP and SHRM SCP.
