Emotional Intelligence

Emotional Intelligence is defined as the ability to manage yourself and others. Thankfully, Emotional Intelligence (EI) is a dynamic construct. EI is a large predictor of career success. You can develop your EI. And you can train others to develop their EI. I have done so for years, with hundreds of people.   Please join this session!

Biography: Since 1997, Doug has partnered with hundreds of executive leaders in the Healthcare, Energy, Manufacturing, IT, Pharmaceutical, Construction and Financial industries.  He trademarked the AD-FIT model in 2018 when clients asked, “What really works?”

Doug leverages positive psychology to accelerate leader development.  Specifically, Doug uses validated assessments to assess (the A in the AD-FIT model) organizational and individual strengths.  Each engagement requires that clients define meaningful outcomes (the D in the AD-FIT model), milestones and metrics to guarantee accountability.  He has validated that AD-FIT coaching protocol with hundreds of leaders, in his PhD research, and in the AD-FIT certification programs.

Doug has demonstrated expertise at managing and leading teams.   He brings a unique background as a CEO,  outcome-based business leader, teacher, scholar, researcher and non-profit director.  That background enables him to help leaders who are passionate and need his direct, supportive expertise.   Most of his clients are newly promoted managers, identified High Potential leaders, or business leaders with critical outcome requirements.  Doug typically coaches using the Action Learning methodology.  And his style includes a strategic focus, humor, and guarantee outcomes for your investment, using the AD-FIT coaching process.

A popular speaker and facilitator, Doug loves to facilitate experiential leadership training programs and strategic planning retreats.  His recent speaking topics include “How to Apply Positive Psychology to your Business” and “How to Increase Employee Engagement” and “How to Create Competitive Advantage in Your Leaders.”
