Conducting Lawful Workplace Investigations
Presented by
Jennifer Robinson, Office Managing Shareholder; Co-Chair,Hospitality Industry Group

One of the toughest challenges faced by HR Professionals is knowing how to properly conduct a workplace investigation that will stand up under scrutiny. How do you find the balance between documenting too much and too little? What guidelines should you use to make sure your investigation is found to be meaningful if challenged by a third party? This event will provide a legal prospective and guidance on how to conduct an investigation that will be effective and legally compliant.

Participants will receive practical advice regarding:

What an investigation should include
• What to document and when
• Who should investigate if the complaint is against a leader in the organization
• How to close out an investigation
• Tips for maintaining investigation notes once the investigation is complete

Schedule: Registration and Networking open at 4:30 pm; Presentation 5:00-7:00 pm.
