Over the past several months, the #MeToo movement has grown to have a significant impact on society's view of sexual harassment in the workplace.  This presentation will look at how the movement has empowered employees to take on sexual harassment and what litigation efforts are underway.  We will also explore what employers can do to ensure their workplaces are prepared to prevent, properly investigate, and take appropriate action against sexual harassment.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Learn how the #MeToo movement and Times Up initiative have empowered employees to take on sexual harassment.
  2. Understand the law as it relates to harassment/sexual harassment and retaliation
  3. Understand what litigation efforts are underway as a result of the movement.
  4. Discuss what employers can do to ensure their workplaces are prepared to prevent, properly investigate, and take appropriate action against sexual harassment.
