Cultivating Silence in a Complex and Noisy World
Presented by Jason Overton, Leadership Coach, Kordovia

As an HR Professional, how does the acceleration of business & technology impact you in subtle and significant ways?

The focus of this session is to develop higher levels of resilience and resourcefulness in VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, and Ambiguous) business environments.

We will explore how intentionally going slow can be generative, bring higher levels of focus, and assist in overall well-being.

We will practice ways to reduce the “noise” in your own life through a number of body-centered practices and experience how silence can be utilized as an effective part of coaching.

Kaizen is a Japanese philosophy that focuses on continual improvement throughout all aspects of life. How can one-minute of silence per day impact your life in a positive way?

Learning Outcomes:

  • Increase understanding of how the “noise” in your life impacts your body and identify practices to integrate more silence
  • Communicating through presence: Gain knowledge and experience of how silence can be used as an effective coaching tool
  • Practice with Polarities (Sound/ Silence and Activity/ Rest)
  • Develop a plan of action to integrate one-minute of silence into your daily routine

Schedule: Doors open at 11:00 am for registration and networking. Buffet lunch begins at 11:20 am, and the presentation starts promptly at 12:00 noon.
