Coaching Strategies for Development and Influence

What does it mean to integrate coaching strategies into the work environment?  How can coaching strategies be utilized in professional development?  What tactics from coaching are useful for management, sales, consulting, and influence?

In this interactive training we’ll discuss the coaching strategy applications of the GROW and CLEAR models for personal and professional development.  After an introduction to the models participants will apply the models to the personal or professional context of their choice as well as discuss corporate applications. 

Learning objectives:

  • Understand applications of coaching strategies in personal and professional development
  • Learn and apply GROW (Goal, Reality, Obstacles, Way Forward) Coaching Strategy
  • Learn and apply CLEAR (Confirm, Legitimize, Evaluate, and Respond) Coaching Strategy

Registration: MTSU Faculty or Student: $5; Member Registration: $20 by end of business Wednesday January 17, $25 afterwards.

Biography: Diana Ideus is a Professionally Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation and has her Masters in Organizational Behavior and Executive Coaching.  Diana currently leverages her coaching, management, and leadership development experience as the Organizational Development Manager at eviCore healthcare.  

Before joining eviCore healthcare, Diana coached, consulted, trained, and managed coaches and programs at InsideTrack, an educational services firm that provides coaching and consulting to colleges and universities.  Prior to coaching Diana was a Teach for America corps member on the Navajo Reservation in New Mexico.  Diana’s passion for coaching, consulting, training, and leadership development inspired her to open Hawthorne Union in 2015.

A California native, Diana lacks understanding of the purpose of winter weather though she’s appreciative of Nashville’s southern hospitality, Thai food, and Gigi’s cupcakes to ensure her winter survival.
