Event Description: This session will help prepare HR professionals to lead strategic initiatives within their organization to create a successful approach to wellness through a structured and cost effective strategy centered around combating the stressors that face their employees.

Participants in this session will be able to:

  • Have a better understanding of the impact of wellness in the workplace. Identify key factors that need to be included in a well rounded wellness program to meet all the pain points of your employees, and see why a grass roots/lower cost wellness program can still have a big impact.
  • Understand where to start. HR professionals will learn how to engage leadership to drive program success, and also identify the high level items to look for when reviewing third party partners. They will leave with 7 clear steps to launching a successful wellness program for their employees. 
  • Bring synergy to their wellness initiative. Your wellness program must align with your company’s culture and mission; how do you accomplish that goal?

Biography:
The road throughout Ben's career has taken him in a variety of places. From touring the United States with various bands while promoting concerts and music festivals, to managing multiple offices in the Southeast in the mortgage industry, to now helping promote financial wellness and education as a household acquisition tool. Ben has traveled many roads into the career he has with First Tennessee Bank.

Currently he is a Vice President for First Tennessee Bank serving as the Customer Acquisition Manager for the bank. He oversees all non-traditional acquisition programs for First Tennessee and is charged with the development and implementation of these programs. The primary program is First Tennessee@Work, a fully customizable financial wellness program offered to partner companies of the bank at no cost. The main focus of the program is to give a company's employees an opportunity to become more confident in their financial decisions by providing a true relationship with their banker as well as hosting financial education courses at their workplace.

In addition, his passion for music has never left. Ben performs with various groups in the Nashville area playing trumpet. He has volunteered time with Music Makes Us helping to develop a leadership program for Metro Nashville Public School band programs.
